This post is mostly a reply to the comments that have recently been made by former and current employees of the company I work for (Allegiant Air) on this popular blog:

http://crankyflier.blogspot.com/2006/09/who-f-is-allegiant-air.html

Normally, I have my posts locked as friends only, as I am a private person, and prefer my life in the quiet side. Obviously not this time. I have kept silent for quite a while about this, and with good reason. But with the latest post made, I don't think this hot-headed Latin-Asian woman can stay silent for long.

To whomever is posting these comments, please stop and stop now. Seriously. These things that have been brought up are not to be aired in public in such a fashion, but rather dealt with internally.

Granted, I am a former employee of the call center, and I know how hectic it can be. One year and one month putting up with screaming passengers, unhappy customers and travel agents, trying to live up to your supervisor's expectations as far as phone call and sales quotas, off-the-phone specialty desk duties, training new agents... it's all enough for a normal person to lose their sanity in one week flat. (but that didn't happen to me because the joy of The Lord is my strength... but that's a different topic all on it's own!!)

In addition, there is no such thing as a perfect management team, either. If there is one thing that I can say, it's this: Everyone in the corporate world, from the CEO down, is under some kind of pressure for some kind of expectation. Maury, Ponder, and Andrew are under pressure to make sure the business they are running is as financially stable as possible, and more so now in these days. Pricing and Revenue is under pressure as they are expected to make sure the company's income increases, or at least stabilizes. In-Flight is under pressure as they are expected to create a fun, unique flight experience without sacrificing safety. Customer Relations is under pressure as they are expected to keep customer service to par without sacrificing the policies, procedures, and the values of the company. And I have already outlined Reservations Center's issues.... and that is only the tip of the iceburg.

Also, what makes you think that most other companies has not gone through these things? No company, whether it be an airline or otherwise, always have some kind of growing pains. What makes Allegiant Air 'different' is that since the company is growing fast, so do the growing pains. Mistakes will be made (and yes, it has been made), plans and ideas will not work, supervisors, managers, and other authorized agents will make the wrong call. It happens with every company. But we learn from it and move on.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this: Let Allegiant grow and make it's own mistakes... and deal with these mistakes internally, away from the public eye. If you have issues, you know where to vent them. If you don't, then look it up at the employee website. You may hate Allegiant Air, but you know what? There are thousands others, including myself, that do not. We love Allegiant, and there's a reason why, even though all the good days and the rough days where we feel like we should call it a day, we still stuck by with the company,... and it isn't just because it pays the bills.**nods**

But bah...... enough about work.... it's Friday.... LET'S ROCK!!!!

LOL!!!!! Actually, this is a true story.

Last year... when Lucky was still alive.... Mom was walking him one afternoon and he just sniffed his way to the garbage area, where she found a bunch of clothes and shoes that were never worn, just sitting there at the garbage area. She took it upon herself to pick them up and brought them home, and lo and behold, they were exactly her size!

Until this day, she has utlized both the clothes and the shoes that she found. LOLOL!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Metallica Christmas

Luke 2:1-12 (King James version)

And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. (and this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria).

And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David) to be taxed with Mary, his espoused wife, being great with child.

And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should deliver.

She brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the place where travelers lodged.

And there were in the same country shepards, abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them; and they were so afraid.

But the angel said unto them, "Fear not! For behold, I bring you tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swadling clothes, lying in a manger."

Suddenly, there was with the angel, a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, saying, "Glory to God in the highest! And on earth, peace, good will toward men."

Merry Christmas, everyone!

As we celebrate the holidays with our families, let's remember (or discover) the miracles that Christmas has brought us and continue to bring us as we walk through this journey called life. And let us learn and discover that Christmas isn't just about the birth of Jesus, it is also the sacrifice God made for the redemption of mankind. :-)

......... dude..... I **work** for an airline..... and I will honestly say that this is the time of the year that I love... when I'm away from the airport and the office! LOL!

Nah, but seriously... I've heard (almost all of) the stories. The only thing that I can probably suggest to our affected passengers is:

1) TRAVEL GUARD IS YOUR BEST FRIEND!!!!!! Travel Guard is a Travel Insurance that takes care of these kind of situations. Before I was an airline employee, they were LIFESAVERS!!!
2) When planning any kind of trips, do **NOT** expect everything to go well. Leave/save a little extra just in case the storm comes (pun intended... and yes, it's a very bad pun. :-P)

That's all from me... :-)

Thanksgiving is almost here in the U.S., heralding the start of the holiday season and the first of many meals where you might be confronted with a traditional dish that you happen to find disgusting. What holiday food do you hate to see on the table?

View 500 Answers

LOL! In all honesty, all of us cooks in the family really knew how to cook and what to cook for the holidays. So we never had anything 'disgusting' that we despise. Plus, even if we did, the penalties for saying something negative about any cooking made, especially in such a holiday (Thanksgiving and Christmas),... woooo... let's just say we won't be able to sit down for a good solid month! LOL!

This year's presidential elections
Noelani - PIRATE!
[info]godsprincessdbp
I'm sure by now everyone who wants to vote has already registered to vote. Now before either the left or the right starts leaping on my case, let me make myself quite clear that this post is not to endorse/promote one particular candidate... because I'm not. Although I have strong opinions for one and against the other has nothing to do with this post. Basically, the purpose of this post is to at least attempt to place things into perspective. What do I mean by that? I mean that all of us citizens should be properly 'armed,' for lack of a better term, with information and most of all, wisdom. Information about both candidates and the wisdom to know what is right, what is wrong, what is true, and what is a lie.

Candidates can make appealing promises to sugar up the people they are trying to gain votes from... but when it is all said and done, that's all they are: just words. No offense to each men, but for the next four years, all they will probably be doing is cleaning up the mess that this country is in now. I'm sure both men have some good plans for this country and they come from a good heart, but let's face it... as good as those plans are, they probably won't happen.

Never rely on these mudslinging political advertisements, either. Some of these things are true, most of them are just words twisted around to make it sound like one thing when the truth is another. Plus, I think we all know by now that neither men are perfect angels.

So with the majority of these things out of the way, what else should we look for in voting for the right president? The answer is simple, and more obvious than what you think.

Look at the man's character.

That's right, his character. When it's all said and done.... when all Hades breaks loose.... when the lights are out.... when the mics are turned off.... when nobody is watching... how will he handle himself? Being a president of one of the most powerful countries in the world is not a walk in the park, and to be in this position, this man must have a very strong character. it really doesn't matter much what he says, but what he does that really counts. Where is the man's priorities? Does he really have the well being of his people in mind or does he have his own personal agenda? To sum it all up, what America really needs in her next leader is a man that is strong in character and pure in heart. She will need such a man to restore her to her former glory.

I guess what I'm trying to say is when you go to vote for a candidate, make sure you really know who you are voting for. For the sake of your future, the future of your children, as well as the remains of the reputation of this country, be wise in who you choose. The last thing we need is a president that has a meltdown because he does not know what to do, let alone make more wrong choices. If it means that you have to make minor sacrifices in order to have someone that is capable to fix such issues and has the ability to lead this country, then make them. Just because he does not line up with you level of morale or your beliefs, but if he is able to lead this country effectively, then vote for him. Lord knows our ancestors probably had to sacrifice caviar for some beans and rice, and if they can do it, so can we. (and for those that are inquiring, that is a figure of speech. Hopefully you get my drift).

Anyway, I'm off my soapbox. I think I have said enough on this subject matter, as being politically charged is never my cup of tea. Like I said, the only purpose of this is to let folks know to not only vote, but vote wise. The last thing this country really needs is to be down her knees due to an incompetent leader... I think the current administration, both in Capitol Hill AND the White House has proven that point. Don't need to pick up where they will eventually leave off.
